Burl Punch Bowl
This beautifully crafted burl bowl is created from a single piece of ash. Ash was selected because of the “plum pudding” effect of the wood grain. The entire burl punch bowl was turned by hand on a foot treadle powered by a spring pole lathe and a natural patina is apparent throughout. This ash burl bowl was used to serve punch, obvious by the wear patterns and the patina inside the bowl.
