A vintage bees wax candle mold from Pennsylvania circa 1820. This is a very rare tin candle mold with square tubes and enclosed ends. Bees wax candles were made from the honey comb and gave off a pleasant honey-like odor when burned. This was a preferred alternative to the tallow candle which had a rather rancid smell when burned. The mold measures 4″ x 4″ x 4″.
